Welcome to the website of Danny Scheinmann

Hello thanks for dropping in, let me make you a virtual cup of tea and serve you a top class cyber biscuit.

On these pages you can see my showreel or a trailer of the Scheinmann brothers film The West Wittering Affair. If you have more time you can read the first chapter of my novel ‘Random Acts of Heroic Love’ or check out my acting CV and discover the other things I enjoy doing like storytelling, teaching and working with business.

I am always happy to hear from readers and make a big effort to personally reply to everyone who writes to me, so don't be shy - get in touch. It will be great to hear from you.

I'm always looking for new adventures and if I can be of service as an actor, writer or teacher then let me know. My door is open to the weird and the wonderful. It's what makes life exciting.

I hope you enjoy your visit

Danny

LATEST NEWS:

OCT 2014: "The Divorce" my short film script which won The Pears Film Foundation Award for its screenplay will be premiered at The Odeon Swiss Cottage, London on Nov 8th. I co-directed it with my brother David and it is my first foray in to film directing. www.facebook.com/thedivorceshortfilm

MY SECOND NOVEL "THE HALF LIFE OF JOSHUA JONES"  is now complete. I'm afraid I can't tell you exactly when it will be on sale because we have only just started seeking a publisher. It can take up to a year from finding a publisher to a book appearing on the shelves. The Half Life of Joshua Jones continues my preoccupation with the themes of love and death which were forged in Random Acts of Heroic Love. For a brief synopsis go to "Other Writing"  on the 'writing' menu bar.

APRIL 2013: Had some fun working on MUPPETS AGAIN as a dancer!!! They wanted actors who can move, rather than dancers who can't act. I've never done big show numbers before. It was a blast.

Also did a few scenes in AMBASSADORS the Mitchell and Webb TV show about a British diplomat making a fool of himself in a fictitious Central Asian state. Check out the beard and Russian accent.

Random Acts of Heroic Love was in the Sunday Times Top Ten Bestsellers for 6 weeks and has now been translated in to 21 languages.
German, Italian, Polish, Dutch, French, Spanish, Czech, Hebrew, Russian, Chinese Taiwanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Norwegian, Lithuanian, Turkish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, Indonesian and Serbian.
