TEACHING STORYTELLING AND PHYSICAL THEATRE TECHNIQUES

I once had a teacher who began his first lesson by saying “I can teach you nothing". I had just paid a huge amount of money to work with him! Then he said, " all I can do is give you an experience from which you may or may not learn." He was the best teacher I ever had.

You can only learn by doing. I create a framework for students to teach themselves. I want my students to be the best they can be.

A great storyteller is you at your best. Imagine yourself with the people you love, chilling out in a pub or at home, with nothing at stake. You are telling your friends a story or a joke, you are funny, wise and relaxed. They love you for it and at that moment you love yourself. And you don’t even have a script to help you! That is the person we want to see on stage. Using storytelling techniques I try and draw out what makes each individual charming, engaging and watchable. Throw in to the pot a few techniques, a great story and your own natural creativity and see what happens.
